About Us
Welcome to TROPICAL SOUTH by THE CUBAN THING founded by Chuchi Rivero self-taught chef, entrepreneur, and a career TV/Film Director, with his wife Patricia Salazar, Canadian-born, an experienced executive in the communications and public relations industry. Both involved in the culinary industry in one way or another for over 25 years.
Our authentic Cuban cuisine features traditional and special dishes that have been cherished for 90 years, all infused with a
Miami flair. Our original slogan, “90 years of tradition in one bite,” reflects the culinary legacy created by Cuban grandmothers, or "Abuelitas."
Don’t miss out on our almost world famous ISLAND MOJO SAUCE, every meal gets some of this love. Oh yeah! Everything is done fresh and on the spot, made with 100% Canadian local meats and products.
