Welcome to TROPICAL SOUTH by THE CUBAN THING founded by Chuchi Rivero self-taught chef, entrepreneur, and a career TV/Film Director, with his wife Patricia Salazar, Canadian-born, an experienced executive in the communications and public relations industry.  Both involved in the culinary industry in one way or another for over 25 years.

Thanks to the demand and our customer's feedback and after 2 years in the mobile food business, we have added a second truck, expanded our menu, and rebranded ourselves to better serve the community.  We will continue with our Cuban classics while creating and adding more International dishes and of course, always with a Miami fusion flair.
 
When visiting TROPICAL SOUTH, we guarantee you’re going to eat well and indulge in more than just food, it’s the culture behind it.  Our flavorful two food trucks serve up Cuban/Latin/Caribbean style.  
 
Our menu is an extended version and upgraded from our first mobile food trailer soon to be permanently at the Downtown Brampton Food District and also, as a mobile catering service.   We will continue offering our customers their favorites while adding a wider variety and complete meals.   Made with 100% Canadian local meats and products.
